Plot:

Famous reporter, Caroline Reale is seen filming in the Fox news TV studio. She is preparing a segment for the following day regarding the construction of the Muslim Multicultural Center near ground zero. When the filming is cut she is asked by the camera man if she is planning on telling the whole truth to the story or just reporting the “truthiness” that the station has prepared for her. When she admits that she plans to stick to her principles and tell the full story she is unaware that someone is listening to her plan in the shadows.
The next morning her body is found laying dead on the train tracks. The investigating cop, Steve, calls in detectives Annie and Landon to search for evidence as to why this poor woman was murdered. He mentions to them that she has been reporting on a very controversial piece regarding the “mosque” that was due to air live later that day. It is obvious that the death must have something to do with this. Annie and Landon quickly investigate Caroline’s office at Fox where they find other reports by her colleagues such as Glenn Beck discussing the topic. They watch segments and gather information they think might help them to solve the mystery. However after watching the clips they feel as though they might be missing something. The next thing they decided to do is search Caroline’s house in case she might have been hiding something there that would be motive for her murder. After searching Caroline’s house the detective’s decide to check through her computer for misplaced files. They stumble upon some e-mails that have been sent to a secret group of friends. It appears as though Caroline has been socializing with the enemy. Video clips arguing the opposite side if the “mosque” debate from more truthful, comical sources such as Stephen Colbert and John Stewart have been saved to her computer. It appears as though Caroline had intended to report the truth. Could this have been what got her killed? Had someone from her own station discovered this fact and decided murder was the only way to keep her quiet? Suspects are brought into the police station and interviewed by Steve and the detectives. The evidence all leads to one person, the director of Fox news, Justin Kohler. He admits to his crime and the scene ends. The film ends with the detectives and the cop placing roses on Caroline’s grave, sorry that she had to die defending the truth.
Cut!
